Genetic or Generational Curse

    Why do some Christians who tithe lack financially, and/or naturally (always pursuing but never achieving)? How can a Christian woman be physically capable of having child, but for no medical reason, be barren? Why do Christians suffer from depression and suicidal thoughts, which have plagued their family from one generation to another generation?  Why are hereditary diseases passed from one generation to another, when you are a God fearing, bible believing Christian?
     My own daughter had two stillborn births. These stillborns were devastating to us, seeing that each miscarriages happened at six and seventh month of her pregnancy. After the second child I became angry at the devil for taking the life of another grandchild. When I found out she was pregnant a third time I pleaded, and interceded before God on behalf of my daughter. Neither she nor I could bear to have another devastating heartache of losing another grandchild.
     The Lord revealed to me that this was a generational curse. My mother could only have one child, me. There was no medical reason why she couldn’t have other children. Whether she had miscarried other children or not she didn’t tell me, but she did say she tried to have other children. I on the other hand, gave birth to two healthy children. That generation curse had not left me barren, but did cause other problems. Now my daughter was faced with this cursed. As I stood and prayed over my daughter for this curse to be removed and destroyed over our family line, I knew it was done. My daughter gave birth to a healthy boy and later a beautiful girl.
     As a Christian I knew that our Lord Jesus Christ took our sins upon the cross, and by His stripes we are healed. But, He took more than our sins upon the cross at Calvary. Gal. 3:13 says,  “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree” (KJV)
  Jesus Christ became a curse for us, that we might be free from the curses. We repent of our sins, knowing He bore are sins on the cross, but have we ever revoked the curses that He also redeemed us from at Calvary?
I use to think that once you become a Christian that you are free from any curse because you are not under the law, but grace. Let me explain it the way it was revealed to me. Your grandpa received an unusual pet.  He was advised not to get it, but it was so appealing to him, and besides it lives a very long time, at least four generations. So he open’s his door and allowed this forbidden pet into his home. Let’s call this pet a gremlin, and name it Sin. Sin wreaks havoc in the house destroying all it gets its hands on. Your grandparents die and eventually you inherit this pet. You know what it did to your grandparent’s and parent’s home.  Now you see what it is doing to your home and family. You take medication for depression because of what Sin has done in your life, and you have been diagnosed as a manic-depressive. It doesn’t surprise you, because your grandma, father, and brother suffered from depression also. You accept this depression as hereditary. One day you learn that as a Christian, you are not under the law but grace. Jesus Christ took your place at Calvary because of sin. You read the scripture Gal. 3:13 which says, that Jesus redeemed you from the curse due to sin. You realize that this depression is due to Sin. You repent for your mother and father allowing Sin to come into their lives, even seven generations back, as well as yourself. You revoke this curse from going any further, and place it under the blood that Jesus Christ shed for you. There is no sacrifice you need to make (Law) it was already made for you at Calvary. Now by revoking this curse you have kicked Sin out of your house and family. You are no longer depressed, because the root problem of depression was a generational curse.
     Curses are a result of sin. Sin opens the door to curses. In Deuteronomy 28 Moses gives comprehensive lists of the blessings and curses. The blessings are listed in verses 3 through 13, the curses in verses 16 through 68.
     Two important features are common to blessings and curses. First, their effect is not limited to the individual.  It may extend to families, communities or whole nations. Second, they tend to continue from generation to generation until something happens to cancel their effects.

Seven Indications of a curse
1. Barrenness, tendency to miscarry or related female problems.
2. Mental and /or emotional breakdown.
3. Repeated or chronic sickness (especially if hereditary).
4. Continued financial insufficiency.
5. Being “Accident-Prone”.
6. A history of suicides and unnatural or untimely deaths.
7. Breakdown of marriage and family alienation.
